"Best Summer Camp Ever" …
… was how kids described their week at Artworks "Art & Nature Camp" held at the Still Pond facility in June.
Gia Campana and Sarah Lyle led educational, fun activities such as making a beach sculpture after learning about Andy Goldsworthy, a British artist who creates in collaboration with nature.
A few spots are left for the July 20-24 session,
age limit is 8-12 years.
Price Update: to make the Art & Nature creative experience available to more children in the community, Artworks has changed the summer camp fee to $200 per week. The change will also allow more parents to enroll their children for both weeks.

A little north of Chestertown turn onto Rt 561 toward Lynch. Follow Rt 561 to the stop sign at the end of the road. Turn right onto Rt 298 and take the next left onto Clark Rd. Follow Clark Rd to the stop sign at Still Pond Neck Road. Turn left and continue several miles to the end of the road (it is a curvy road through the countryside). There is a sharp left turn after the Camp Tockwogh entrance. Go about one mile more, past the Coast Guard sign, to a low brick building at the end of the road. The entrance to Artworks Clay Studio is around back. Parking is available.
Artworks
Chester River Artworks, known simply as Artworks, is located in Chestertown, Maryland. Artworks is a non-profit art center founded and run by a group of dedicated volunteers devoted to establishing a regional center for craft and art.
